Classes with Ainsley Hillyard

Ainsley is interested in exploring Action Theatre, a type of movement practice that uses voice. The audition will be structured like an Action Theatre/improv class. Participants will be asked to participate in some Action Theatre games and improv activities, using their bodies to; move (dance/improv), make noise (gibberish and sounds), and speak (tell stories). Ainsley will also teach a short phrase of choreography.

Participants will be selected for the full program based on their genuine enjoyment of Action Theatre as seen throughout the workshop, their interest in using the voice as a performance tool and their confidence to try out a somewhat silly and new thing! 

Participants will be notified within one week of the workshop if they have been or have not been accepted to the full program.
